Bring your bikes and store them in our bike store, and explore the surrounding area. The Upper Eden Valley is full of quiet lanes, wide open morland and steep climbs as well as short easy bike rides for the children. The Tour of Britain 2019 even passed through Great Musgrave and Kirkby Stephen.

Our nearest lake is Ullswater; it takes 50 minutes to drive to the northern end, here you can hire motor boats, sailing boats, rowing boats and canoes from serveral companies.

Fishing

Kirkby Stephen and District Anglers
Fly fishing on the River Eden is within walking distance from the front door and extends from Warcop to Pendragon in the Mallerstang Valley. Day tickets can be acquired from Halls Newsagents, in Kirkby Stephen for £20 per day or £50 for the week.
